What was the highlight of Casa Borbon

a superb place to stay in salento

the staff at the hostal were super friendly and helpfull. the hostal itself was near the main square but far enough away so there was no street noise. lots of shops and restaurants nearby. the room was spacious, it had a small desk to work at, plus the bed was really comfortable.

no breakfast however there were plenty of cafe's nearby

Good hostel !

Small & cozy hostel, perfect for tranquillity. Very pretty and modern. Nice & clean rooms. Good location.

There is a perfectly equipped kitchen that guests cannot use to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner. And there is no breakfast option… Staff very controlling of your movements.

Beautiful views, great free coffee and wonderful staff.

Stayed two nights in a balcony room. Very clean and staff very helpful with hotel service and explaining the various tours of the region. Modern room with hot water and unlimited delicious coffee in the morning. The hotel is only one block from main square and has excellent views. Will not hesitate to stay again.

Only negative is the steep hill to walk for one block to arrive in city center.

Great stay

Great location. 1 minute from the main square. The staff was amazing, they helped us with everything we needed. Great thanks to the employee which saw one of us bleeding and gave us first aid kit without us asking. The room was great.

The only thing that could make the stay better was a towel for the bath floor when exiting the shower.

Amazing stay!

The staff member in this hotel are amazing, always willing to help you with anything with you need with a smile on their face, no matter the time. The rooms are super clean, there is a selection of snacks and drinks in the room in very affordable prices, and there is always free coffee available in the hall. The hotel is located 3’ away from the main plaza and most of the restaurants and souvenir stores but it is still in a very quiet road so you won’t have any issue with noise. Great stay! I definitely recommend it!

All great but prepare earplugs

Close to the center, great view. Super clean! Fresh towels each day, very nice staff. The only thing would be if there was a kettle in the rooms, however, there is a hot water and coffee available. Remember to bring earplugs. Walls are super thin and you wake up with sun rising! Hairdryer in the room is a big plus.

Unfortunately no kitchen. Loud from the street.

The staff who work at Casa Borbon are exceptionally kind and helpful in all regards. They really went out of their way to ensure that we had the best possible experience.

The windows do not have safety bars or insect screens, this means that you cannot leave the windows open at night or while you are away from your room. This led to a slight damp feeling in the room, especially after showering

Nice quiet central choice

This is a nice small hotel close to the central plaza. The balcony has a lovely view of the countryside. The room was super clean. Friendly.

The street down from the plaza is very steep, not so easy to get up carrying luggage.

Great place to enjoy Jardin and the expeditions around

Cool areas and friendly staff. A bit excentred but as Jardin is small, it was okay. Beds were great with extra blanket provided.

We had a dorm without exterior windows. With carpet and the humidity, it wasn't great if you are allergic to dust mites..

Lovely staff and a large room with a great view from the balcony

It was good value for money with a really spacious room, hot water and daily cleaning. The view was lovely from the balcony and it was very quiet at night yet a few minutes walk from the main square. Reception staff were really friendly and we managed to communicate (Spanish only) enough for my taxi to turn up for the airport and cover off other queries.

As others have mentioned the location is at the bottom of a very steep hill (one of many in Salento). An easier access route is via Calle 6 (not 5). It would be good if they offered breakfast as an option

great location and views

- great location just outside of town with a balcony and an excellent view of the mountains! - strong wifi - staff were friendly - hot showers

- the toilet broke on day one and we had to ask twice for it to get fixed so were without a toilet for over 12 hours - it felt a bit damp because it really rained, and it was quite cold in the room and noisy without earplugs from the street
